Cocoguru is a brand of pure coconut oil from Puttur, Mangaluru packed in small consumer packs for edible use. Various varieties of coconut oils like Roasted, Cold Press and Virgin are available. After successfully spreading the brand in and around Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kogadu, company is looking to cater to Mangaloreans who are settled at Bengaluru. Cocoguru is looking for a Sales Officer to establish its presence at Bengaluru, who can go to retailers and convince them to sell our coconut oil. Sales Officer should also establish a distributor network to ensure the supply chain.

Job Description

  • Sell coconut oil as edible oil to retailers and institutions
  • Secondary Sales by introducing products and convincing the retailers to buy
  • Handle queries, objections, complaints from retailers to solve problems and generate opportunities
  • Develop in depth knowledge about company products and its sales system
  • Appoint, set terms and manage distributors for supply
  • Maintain inventory at distributors and retailers
  • Plan and positively achieve the targets given
  • Ensure entire sales operations are cost effective to company and distributors
  • Sell with consumers interest in mind and build the brand
  • Manage sales force and co-ordinate with other departments
  • Maintain accurate record of complaints, opportunities, tasks and follow up to get the work done
  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, weakness and moves to determine company’s activities

Working Conditions

  • 8 hours of work i.e. secondary sales in the field per day
  • 50 to 60 outlets visit per day
  • Use Sales Force Automation software for punching orders
  • Report to his manager everyday by phone call


  • Graduation Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in FMCG sales at Bengaluru
  • Native of Mangaluru/Udupi but settled at Bengaluru
  • Language – English, Kannada and Tulu
  • Have an own 2-wheeler for traveling
  • Knowledge of sales strategies, art of closing a sale, inventory management
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, comfortable with numbers
  • Ability to sell a product for its benefits by personally believing it than relying on low price or strong brand value in the market
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to spot and pursue opportunities despite competition and constraints
